Summary

All organisations want to be data-driven, but what are the roadblocks to achieving those goals, and how do we overcome them?

It’s no longer possible to predict customer behaviour purely based on modelling from a company’s previous data sets. Previous models do not take into account Covid-19, and therefore a new approach is required. Which means bringing in external data sets and getting comfortable with directional insight rather than perfect clarity.

In a marketplace where vendors promise that their product does everything that you need, Chief Data Officers are being pressured to achieve more with less, and are converging on a smaller number of suppliers. Looking to create more meaningful partnerships for better longterm outcomes.

Shaun, Dave and Jonny will be discussing how to navigate a course through these turbulent times, what pitfalls to avoid in contract negotiation, what components are required to create a best in class team and how to get the business to understand and articulate the problems that data science can solve.

Hosted by David McHugh, Chief Data Officer, JATO Dynamics, Shaun McGirr, Head of Data Science & Business Intelligence, Cox Automotive and Jonny Bentwood, Global Head of Data & Analytics at Golin
