Dr Markus Pleier is a Senior Technology Executive with more than 20 years of experience at the intersection of software development, enterprise IT, and technology strategy.

As a technologist, he supported large enterprises in highly regulated industries — financial services and central banking, the automotive industry, and aerospace. In his role as Senior Vice President Product Development, he deployed HashiCorp’s products — such as Terraform and Vault — for infrastructure automation, secrets management, and security-first architectures.
His path led from high-performance computing at Convex Supercomputer through more than 15 years at EMC, where he was named Distinguished Engineer and served as CTO EMEA, to Nutanix — first as head of Systems Engineering for Germany and Austria, later as CTO EMEA. Grounded in a Diplom in Computer Science (TU Munich) and a doctorate in Medical Informatics (LMU Munich),

1. Agreement These terms and conditions (Terms), together with the registration form submitted by you, the Delegate (Booking), comprise the Agreement between you, the Delegate, and The Network Group Events Ltd. (Event Organiser) governing your participation and attendance at the Event. 2. Event Attendance To ensure Delegate receives maximum value from event, the Delegate will be directed to complete a profile. Event Organiser will not be liable to Delegate for any change in the number or identity of other attendees. You hereby confirm that you are appropriately qualified for attendance at the Event and will conduct yourself in a proper and professional manner at all times. 3. Alterations, Postponement or Cancellations made by Event Organiser Event Organiser will strive to adhere to the communicated event programme, but reserves the right to alter the event structure (ie: location, venue, date and features etc). If Event is cancelled or postponed by Event Organiser due to events or circumstances beyond its reasonable control (including without limitation Acts of God, flood, failure of any material supplier to the Event, unforeseen occurrence, cancellation by the Venue or other emergency), Event Organiser will reschedule Event and the Delegate will be transferred to the appropriate re-scheduled event (within 12 months). 4. Cancellation and Substitutions by the Delegate Delegates are responsible for the cost of gratuities that might include parking, travel and other items such as non- Event Organiser arranged dining or other refreshments. Delegate bookings are transferable but cannot be cancelled. If you are unable to attend, you must notify Event Organiser as early as possible to the Event. A Delegate who is unable to attend the event may nominate a substitute who should be of equivalent authority. Substitutes will only be admitted at the Event Organisers discretion. 5. Miscellaneous This Agreement is binding upon confirmation by Event Organiser of acceptance of the Booking submitted by Delegate. These terms are governed by English Law and the parties irrevocably agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of England in all matters. The Network Group Events Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 08043329) whose registered office is located at: 24 Picton House, Hussar Court, Waterlooville, Hampshire, PO7 7SQ 6. Data Protection and Privacy Event Organiser hereby warrants and represents that (with respect to the collection, processing and transfer of personal data) it has complied, and shall, at all times, comply with the relevant data protection legislation in force, from time to time, including the Data Protection Act 2018, as amended or repealed, and the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation 2016/679) (“GDPR”). The information provided by Delegate will be held on our database and used for any permitted legal purpose.
