Summary

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, approximately 3.5% of workers worked remotely in the U.S. This number rose dramatically to 88% after the onset of the pandemic. “Going to work” was turned upside down as both employees and employers had to navigate what it meant to work entirely from home with no travel. It made it challenging for employers and facility leaders to maintain productivity, employee well-being and morale while also controlling real estate costs and managing ongoing maintenance and capital projects.

This leads to an important question: when the pandemic begins to release its foothold, will the pendulum swing back the other way? And what implications will that have on how we design work environments?

Join us to discuss:

  • How you envision work environments evolving post-pandemic – will we stay mostly remote, come back to the office or a hybrid of the two?
  • How you can ensure your spaces are optimized for both in-person and virtual collaboration
  • What services and new technologies do you need to provide to ensure productivity, flexibility and efficiency?
  • What trends from the pandemic do you see having a lasting impact (i.e. social distancing between desks, enhanced cleaning protocols, etc)
