Summary

According to the Panaseer 2022 Security Leaders Peer Report, 91% of security leaders report to their board on ransomware protection. But can boards trust the information they’re being given? Our research shows that just 45% of security leaders are ‘very satisfied’ with the time, resources, accuracy, and detail of their ransomware board reporting. This falls to 33% among those in the financial services industry.

Not only is this potentially exposing organisations to increased risk, but it also means they are likely wasting money. With 86% of respondents saying that ransomware is a budgeted priority in 2022, inaccurate reporting means business leaders could be making poor decisions on where to allocate their resources.

Join us to explore the practical steps security leaders can take to improve board-level conversations and give their senior stakeholders confidence in their organisation’s ransomware controls.

Key questions to be discussed:

Why do you think security leaders lack confidence in their reporting?

How can security leaders improve the accuracy of their ransomware security reporting?

What technologies are most valuable for delivering security metrics that give an accurate picture of your ransomware preparedness?

How do you evidence that security controls are in place and working properly?

How can CISOs improve their relationships and maintain trust with senior stakeholders?

You’ll learn:

How to create data-driven security reporting that gives an accurate view of your organisation’s security posture.

The importance of educating the board on the ransomware threat and the resources needed to maintain a good security posture.
